About

I’ve always been the creative one. I’m the person friends and family come to when they’re planning a party and need an idea, a theme, a display, a sign, or that one unexpected detail that makes everything feel special. I genuinely love taking something ordinary and finding a way to make people stop and look at it differently. That instinct is what eventually became Looks Can Be Delicious.
It started while I was planning my son’s graduation party in another state. Because I was traveling, I really wanted to be able to hand some of the creative work over to someone else. I was looking for the same kind of originality, attention to detail, and visual impact I naturally bring to the events I help create for everyone else — but at a price that still made sense. Then I was quoted $225 for 50 graduation cookies.
And I remember thinking, You have got to be kidding me. So I decided to do it myself.
What started as a few dessert ideas quickly turned into a full production. My hotel room became my workspace. I was dipping, assembling, packaging, designing signs, building displays, and creating an entire dessert experience from scratch. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized I had found something bigger than a graduation party. I realized there were probably a lot of people just like me — people who wanted their celebrations to feel creative, beautiful, fun, and memorable, but didn’t necessarily want to spend a fortune hiring multiple vendors to make that happen.
That became the idea behind Looks Can Be Delicious. I create themed dessert tables where the desserts themselves become part of the décor. A fishbowl might actually be Jell-O. A champagne bottle might be filled with cake and cream. A beer mug, flowerpot, sand bucket, coffee cup, or fishing pole might turn out to be dessert.
I want the dessert table to be the thing everyone notices. The table people walk over to first. The table they gush over. The table they pull out their phones to photograph. The table that ends up in everyone’s pictures from the party. Because when I create something, I’m thinking about more than what dessert tastes like. I’m thinking about the moment someone sees it from across the room and says: “Wait… what is that?”
That’s the moment I’m creating. Looks Can Be Delicious is about bringing big creativity to real celebrations — and making the dessert table one of the most memorable parts of the entire event- at a price you're happy to pay.
